Job summary

Central Iowa Power Cooperative (CIPCO) is seeking a Power Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to assist the engineering team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This internship will provide exposure to the utility industry, particularly regarding transmission substations or transmission planning.

Eligible candidates are Sophomore through Senior students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with proficiency in PCs and MS Office. Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills are required.

Central Iowa Power Cooperative (CIPCO) is currently seeking a Power Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to assist the engineering team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This internship will provide the student with valuable exposure to the utility industry, particularly regarding transmission substations or transmission planning.

Candidates may be a Sophomore through Senior student working toward a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and have proficiency in the use of personal computers and Microsoft Office software. Must have excellent written, verbal, communication and organizational skills.
