Job summary

GigaGrid is seeking a Power Electronics Test Engineer in Atlanta, on-site, to join the R&D team and lead end-to-end testing for the company’s power electronics product suite, supporting solar and battery storage deployments.

You will develop test protocols, perform hardware-in-the-loop and firmware-in-the-loop tests, and translate results into design improvements for cross-functional teams across hardware, firmware, and software.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 2–5 years firmware experience for power electronics.
• Experience with power electronics 2–20 kW systems.
• Hands-on with EE lab equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
• Familiarity with TI CCS Platform and Altium.

Responsibilities

• Develop test protocols, procedures, fixtures and stations to qualify prototypes and final products.
• Hands-on hardware-in-the-loop and firmware-in-the-loop testing for subsystems.
• Translate test results into design recommendations for R&D/Product teams.
• Develop firmware/configurations for power converters (DC/DC, bi-directional DC/AC, battery charging).
• Coordinate with software team for firmware releases and test integration.
• Board bring-up, documentation, and coordination of hardware fixes for iterations.
• Support certification, compliance, and qualification processes.
