Job summary

OmniOn Power in Plano, Texas seeks a Power Electronics Design Technician with 1–3 years of hands-on experience to assemble and validate AC/DC and DC/DC power supply prototypes for data center, telecom and industrial applications. You will collaborate with the engineering design team to execute tests and document results.

The role emphasizes lab setup, ISO-compliant testing and maintaining equipment, interpreting schematics, using data acquisition tools, and adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Associates degree (2 year) in Electrical or Electronics.
• Two years of study in an accredited engineering program; or two years of relevant engineering or technical work experience.
• Experience with 208/240/480V ac voltage, digital voltmeters, and data logging instruments.
• Working knowledge of AC sources and electronic loads.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering electrical schematics, assembly drawings, and block diagrams.
• Assemble AC/DC and DC/DC power supply prototypes for datacenter, telecom and industrial applications.
• Execute detailed test plans to validate component stress conditions.
• Document test results for the power supply prototypes.
• Setup data acquisition instruments, variacs and resistive load banks.
• Maintain lab testing and calibration standards per ISO requirements.
• Assist engineering teams to interpret and duplicate non-compliances.
• Maintain lab equipment and organize the lab.
• Follow all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements such as LOTO.
