Job summary

Great Bay Staffing Group is seeking a Power Electronics Engineer for underwater maritime systems in Concord, MA or Groton, CT. You will design, implement, and test high-power electronics for harsh environments, from 500W to 50kW, interfacing with embedded processors and control systems.

Responsibilities include DC/DC/AC/DC converter design, EMI/EMC considerations, magnetics, energy storage, PCB layout coordination, and on-site testing with occasional travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with concentration in power systems design or power electronics.
• BSEE with 4+ years of relevant power electronics experience, OR MSEE/PhD with 1+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven track record designing, implementing, and testing high voltage/high power electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and debug complex power electronics systems for underwater maritime applications.
• Interface power electronics with embedded processors and control systems.
• Perform circuit analysis, simulation, component selection, schematic capture, and PCB design.
• Conduct verification testing and troubleshooting of electronic systems.
• Travel up to 25% for on-site testing and customer demonstrations.
