Job summary

TMEIC Corporation Americas seeks an Application Engineer to develop engineering solutions for Power Electronics Systems. You will create mechanical layouts, develop proposals, and collaborate with teams to ensure designs meet environmental and performance requirements.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 2 years of related experience, and ability to read schematics. Willingness to travel up to 10% and familiarity with ISO 9000 is expected.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or related field.
• 2 years’ related application engineering experience.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Familiarity with industrial power electronics products and standards (UL, CE, NEMA, IEEE).
• Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop application-specific mechanical layouts and assemblies per client requirements and specifications.
• Prepare technical proposals and quotes with engineering teams.
• Collaborate to evaluate product designs for environmental and mechanical performance.
• Provide technical consultation to sales team and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Create and maintain BOMs for assigned product lines in coordination with stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce costs in design workflows.
• Provide technical and costing information for proposals using client specs and Company solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including manuals and product literature.
