Job summary

RINA is seeking an entry-level Power Electrical System Engineer in Lisle, IL to gain hands-on experience in electrical power design and analysis projects within our Electrical Engineering and Power Systems division.

You will assist in design and analysis of power systems, prepare drawings and reports, perform load calculations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while ensuring compliance with NEC and IEEE standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (power focus preferred).
  • Recent graduate or 0–2 years of experience.
  • Basic understanding of electrical power systems and distribution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and analysis of electrical power systems (low, medium, and high voltage)
  • Support preparation of engineering drawings, calculations, and technical reports
  • Perform load calculations and support power distribution studies
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams and project managers
  • Participate in field work, site visits, and inspections as needed
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE)
  • Support projects from concept through completion

We are seeking a motivated Entry‑Level Electrical Engineer with an emphasis in power systems to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to gain hands‑on experience working on real‑world electrical power design and analysis projects.

Key Accountabilities
  • Assist in the design and analysis of electrical power systems (low, medium, and high voltage)
  • Support preparation of engineering drawings, calculations, and technical reports
  • Perform load calculations and support power distribution studies
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams and project managers
  • Participate in field work, site visits, and inspections as needed
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE)
  • Support projects from concept through completion
