Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking highly motivated Power Distribution Interns for its Summer 2027 intern program in Maitland, FL.

This paid full-time internship runs June through August 2027, with potential to transition to a full-time role after graduation. The successful candidate will work under Project Managers and Team Leaders, collaborating with engineers, scientists, and technologists, and will travel to field sites during the internship while also learning basic design skills in the latter

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Pursuing Bachelor or Associate Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid technical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated and detail oriented.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Excel.
• Honest, fun, hardworking and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist the team with project and back-office tasks.
• Travel to field sites during the internship and work 10-hour days.
• Learn basic design skills in the latter part of the internship.
• Perform other related duties as necessary.

Overview

TRC is seeking highly motivated and diverse Power Distribution Interns for our Summer 2027 intern program out of our Maitland, FLOffice. This is a paid full-time position. Anticipated duration will be from June through August 2027 (flexible). This position has the potential to transition into a Full-Time role upon graduation. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Project Managers and Team Leaders and partner with engineers, scientists, and technologists.

Responsibilities

• Assist the team with both project and back office related task.
• Will be in the field the first half of the internship so needs to be willing to travel during the day to field. Willing to be in the office early for fielding and work 10 hour days. Learn basic design skills on the last part of the internships
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as necessary.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Junior or senior pursuing Bachelor or Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Has excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Possesses solid technical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, detail orientated person.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Excel.
• Honest, fun, hard-working and ready to learn and grow.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
