Westwood Professional Services, Inc. seeks a Project Surveyor to lead survey projects in Westwood’s Power Division, directing planning, execution, QA/QC, and client coordination.

The role requires deep surveying expertise and the ability to mentor team members while ensuring quality and policy compliance. The candidate should have a professional survey license (multi-state preferred) and a four-year degree (or 10+ years in consulting).

Qualifications

• Professional survey license with multi-state licensure preferred.
• Four-year degree preferred and/or 10+ years in a consulting business.
• Strong verbal and written communication and independent judgment.
• Proven leadership and supervisory capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and implementation of projects and monitor operational effectiveness.
• Serve as subject matter expert for survey activities such as staking, topo surveying, platting, boundary analysis, and legal descriptions.
• Define project tasks, schedule and resource requirements with the Project Manager.
• Evaluate project budget, scope and fee with the Project Manager.
• Enforce company standards, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct team meetings to evaluate and coordinate projects.
• Stay current on survey technology, software, hardware, and equipment.
• Provide day-to-day guidance and mentoring to project staff.
• Responsible for quality control/assurance related to survey activities.
• Ensure policies and practices are followed within the survey service.
