Job summary

Entergy’s Transmission Department is seeking a Co-Op Student in Summer 2027 to collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and civil engineering teams in Jackson, MS. You will work full-time during designated co-op semesters and must be enrolled as a sophomore or higher with a minimum 2.8 GPA, verified by transcripts.

Hybrid placement with opportunities to participate in project scoping, site visits, network model management, and restoration efforts.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in Electrical, Mechanical, and/or Civil Engineering to work full-time during co-op semesters.
• Candidates must be classified as a sophomore or beyond at the time of hire.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale, verified through transcript.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with project scoping and site visits.
• Review transmission line encroachments and prepare drawings.
• Manage the network model and adjust facility ratings.
• Create detailed models to improve the State Estimator.
• Validate estimating prices and ensure material is ordered and staged.
• Support storm/restoration efforts and construction projects.
• Travel up to 25% as required.
