Job summary

Surge Staffing seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer to design, build, and start up electrical systems for complex facilities. You will partner with clients and project teams to meet budgets, schedules, and technical requirements.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in industrial electrical design, NEC/NFPA proficiency, and hands-on use of Revit, SKM Power Tools, and lighting calculations. Travel to client sites is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum five years of industrial electrical systems design experience.
• Proficiency with NEC and NFPA codes.
• Experience with power and control system calculations.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical system design and project execution.
• Perform calculations for power and control systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, project managers, clients, and suppliers.
• Ensure NEC and NFPA compliance throughout design and execution.
• Plan equipment installation and start-up requirements.
• Support installation supervision and commissioning at client facilities.
• Travel to customer facilities for meetings and commissioning.
