Job summary

Ampcus Inc is seeking a contract Power BI Developer in Richmond, VA to design, build, and maintain reporting and analytics solutions for multiple business divisions. The role is a full-time contract with an initial one-year term and potential extension.

The ideal candidate will design BI solutions, develop data connections with Power Query to SQL Server, Azure Blob Storage, and Cosmos DB, and optimize DAX measures within Dataverse-based models while collaborating with stakeholders and BI

Qualifications

Experience designing Power BI reports and dashboards for business units.
Ability to translate business questions into effective visualizations and metrics.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models supporting business divisions across the agency.
Build reporting solutions on established Dataverse data models, working with existing tables, relationships, and security configurations.
Develop data connections and transformations using Power Query against SQL Server, Azure Blob Storage, and Cosmos DB.
Develop and optimize DAX measures, calculated columns, and semantic model relationships for accuracy and performance.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs, define measures and metrics, and translate business questions into usable visuals.
Support reporting needs across multiple product teams and BI lead priorities, with agile backing.
