Job summary

Booth & Partners is seeking a Power BI & Microsoft Fabric Engineer for a project-based assignment in the United States. You will design, build, and support analytics and reporting solutions using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, delivering scalable BI workflows.

You will collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, migrate assets, and optimize performance, security, and governance while automating refreshes, deployments, and monitoring.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in BI and Microsoft Fabric, data engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure data platforms, including Data Lake or Synapse.
• Solid understanding of modern data architecture concepts, including lakehouse, medallion, stars schema, and dimensional modeling.
• Strong SQL skills and experience transforming data with T-SQL, Spark, or Python.
• Experience with source control, deployment pipelines and workspace/tenant administration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support analytics and reporting solutions using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
• Develop end-to-end data pipelines, semantic models, and dashboards.
• Migrate and modernize existing Power BI assets into Microsoft Fabric.
• Partner with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Apply best practices for performance, security, governance, and workspace management.
• Automate data refreshes, deployments, and monitoring processes.
• Troubleshoot issues and optimize BI and analytics performance.
• Support other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned.
