SMX is seeking a Power BI developer to support a federal customer’s multi-domain technology platform, delivering actionable insights through advanced BI solutions.

The role requires 4+ years in Power BI, strong data modeling and DAX skills, and a current Secret security clearance. Salary range is $90,000–$165,200 USD with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth. This on-site Topeka position supports DoD-aligned analytics.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience with Power BI.
Currently valid Secret security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Experience in big data/cloud environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop Power BI reports, dashboards, and visuals.
Model data, create DAX measures, and KPIs.
Configure Power BI workspaces, security, and data refresh.
Translate data into clear insights for stakeholders.
Create custom visuals and advanced visualizations.
Connect BI to databases, spreadsheets, APIs, and services.
Publish and share reports via Power BI Service.
Design intuitive dashboards for diverse user needs.
Draft documentation (requirements, SOPs, training).
Collaborate within a team and with SMEs.
