Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC seeks a Power BI IT Monitoring & Dashboard Consultant for a short-term engagement through year-end. The role focuses on creating a consolidated IT health dashboard with executive-level indicators and drill-down capabilities.

Responsibilities include designing dashboards, identifying key infrastructure metrics, and enabling automated data feeds. Onsite preferred, hybrid acceptable, with remote considered for a strong consultant.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Power BI dashboard development.
• Experience with IT infrastructure and IT operations monitoring.
• Experience building executive-facing dashboards and reporting.
• Understanding of IT operational KPIs and infrastructure health metrics.
• SQL and data integration experience.
• Experience implementing automated reporting and/or automated data feeds.
• Experience creating monitoring dashboards or 'single pane of glass' solutions.
• Ability to work with evolving requirements and propose metrics.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop executive-level IT dashboards using Power BI with health indicators and drill-downs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize infrastructure metrics.
• Incorporate CPU/disk usage, patch levels, and other IT health KPIs.
• Determine data collection and integration approaches; leverage SQL sources as needed.
• Establish automated data refreshes and reporting where possible.
• Evaluate existing internal monitoring pages for reuse.
• Translate evolving business/technical requirements into a dashboard strategy.
• Prioritize functionality to maximize value within the engagement timeframe.
• Build a maintainable and extensible solution for the client team to expand.
• Clearly communicate achievable scope within year-end timeframe.
