Constellation Inc. seeks a Power BI Developer to join the Homeland Security Team in Washington, DC.

The role designs, builds, and maintains dashboards that integrate operational and financial data to deliver actionable insights. Applicants should have at least 4 years of experience with Power BI (or Tableau/Qlik), strong SQL, advanced Excel, and excellent communication to translate complex findings for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with Power BI/Tableau/Qlik for large datasets.
• Advanced SQL knowledge: optimization, CTEs, complex joins.
• Advanced Excel for data analysis: pivots, VLOOKUP, formulas.
• Excellent communication to translate complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, CS, Statistics, or related field.
• US citizenship and ability to pass a background check; DHS clearance preferred.
• Experience with Python (Pandas) for data analysis preferred.
• Experience with PowerApps and Power Automate preferred.

Job Description: Power** BI Developer**

Constellation is seeking a Power BI Developer to join our Homeland Security Team in Washington, D.C. This role requires advanced dashboarding and data analysis skills. The developer will design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards that integrate operational and financial data to create meaningful, actionable insights for stakeholders. This role requires a strong understanding of SQL and coordination with other developers for extraction, transformation, and loading of data. This position is client-facing and requires excellent communication to translate complex technical outputs into clear business value.

Key Responsibilities:

• Building, maintaining, and optimizingdashboards, reports, and data models using Power BI and other visualization tools.
• Designing, building, and maintaining data ETL pipelines from sources such as SQL databases, SharePoint, and Excel
• Collaboratingwith end users and technical resources to understand and integrate data outputs into visualizations effectively.
• Translatingcomplex data findings into clear, digestible insights for stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making.
• Ensuringdata accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reports and dashboards.

The ideal candidate must have the following experience, background, and credentials:

• At least 4 years of experience working with large datasets in a Data Visualization tool like Power BI, Tableau or Qlik.
• Advanced understanding of SQL including query optimization, common table expressions (CTEs), and complex joins for deep-dive analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel for standard data analysis tasks (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to gather requirements, present solutions, and translate complex data findings into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree is required, with major in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field preferred.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, able to pass a background investigation by the client agency. DHS clearance with CBP or ICE preferred.
• Experience developing in Python (Pandas) for data analysis is preferred.
• Experience developing PowerApps and Power Automate solutions is preferred.Job Type: Full-time
