Your Job Profile as a Power BI Developer

A Power BI developer typically must have complete knowledge of the BI system. They are responsible for the development and administration of BI tools. And their main duty is to transform raw data into meaningful insights. This is accomplished through interactive and user-friendly dashboards and reports.

Duties and Tasks of Your Particular Role

Study, analyze and understand business requirements in context to business intelligence

Design and map data models to shift raw data into meaningful insights

Utilize Power BI to build interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports

Spot key performance indicators with apt objectives

Analyze pervious and present data for better decision making

Transform business requirements into technical publications

Build multi-dimensional data models

Develop strong data documentation about algorithms, parameters, models

Perform detailed analysis on tested and deployed Power BI scripts

Run DAX queries and functions in Power BI

Define and design new systems

Take care of data warehouse development

Make essential technical and strategic changes to improvise present business intelligence systems

Identify the requirements and develop custom charts accordingly

SQL querying for better results

Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.

You must have

• Hands on experience with Power BI desktop Dashboard and Report development with
  sound formatting and navigation Skills.
• Expertise in writing SQL Queries and Stored Procedures (needs complex SQL queries,
  optimized queries, triggers).
• Responsible for developing visual reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards using Power BI
  desktop.
• Should have analytical thinking for translating data into informative reports and visuals.
• Sound knowledge in Power BI report publishing and administration.
• Knowledge of Data warehouse and modelling
• Proficient in SQL skills .
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and provide quality deliverables .
• Have the capability to test its own code .
• Migration Experience.
• SSIS AND SSRS Experience (any of this one?).
• Migration basically moving on Prem projects to cloud.
• Experience in Data engineering – Data Lake.
• Good Communication.
