Overview

We are looking for a Senior Power BI Developer to develop and build a capacity management system for the prison operations of the US Marshals Service (USMS). In this position, you will come into the project from inception and have a strong voice in the look and feel of the system. You will work directly with the USMS to obtain the requirements for the system. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement BI solutions using the Microsoft Analytics Stack (Power BI, SQL Server, SSAS Tabular, SSRS, Power Query, T-SQL) to support detention operations.
• Assess business needs, define requirements, and create queries, dashboards, and reports with advanced visualizations to aid day-to-day data management and decision making.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements and drive the product from inception through delivery in an agile environment.
• Ensure appropriate data modeling, ETL processes, data warehouse concepts, and security/access controls for report access.

Qualifications

• Onsite work requirement.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline.
• 7–10 years of experience as a BI developer, including data warehouse and BI tools.
• 5+ years of experience designing, building, and implementing BI solutions with visual reports/dashboards and scheduling reports/direct query.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Analytics Stack (SQL Server, SSAS Tabular, SSRS, Power BI, Power Query, SQL, T-SQL).
• Proficient in DAX.
• Advanced knowledge of data modeling, ETL, and data warehouse concepts.
• Experience with access control and security considerations for reports.
• Knowledge of data mining, clustering, and statistical modeling is preferred.
• Knowledge of SQL data warehouse, Visual Studio, SharePoint, .NET, and Azure.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into informative visuals and reports.
• Experience delivering software in an agile development environment with stakeholder collaboration.
• Strong prototyping, design, and requirements analysis skills.
• Excellent documentation and organizational skills; detail oriented.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
