Job summary

Matlen Silver is seeking a Power BI / Cloud Data Architect in Charlotte, NC to join the team for 12-18 months. The role involves building out the Power BI environment using Microsoft Fabric, establishing governance, and creating data pipelines in Azure and Databricks.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years as an architect, hands-on Power BI platform administration, and experience presenting to business stakeholders. Local candidate preferred with in-person interview.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a tenured, independent architect.
• Experience managing a Power BI platform end to end, including setting up Microsoft Fabric and governance.
• Experience presenting to or partnering with business teams, not just technical staff.

Responsibilities

• Set up and administer the Power BI platform, including configuring Microsoft Fabric and governance standards.
• Design and build cloud data pipelines within Azure and Databricks to feed Power BI.
• Lead internal cloud governance efforts and establish standards for other teams.
