Job summary

AMI Metals, Inc. is seeking a Power BI & Analytics Engineer to develop governed semantic models, dashboards, and self-service analytics.

You will collaborate with business owners to define KPIs, validate results, and deliver reliable insights using enterprise data sources such as Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, and SQL data warehouses. You will ensure accurate calculations, secure reporting, and maintainability, while supporting deployment, testing, and performance tuning of Power BI solutions

Qualifications

• Advanced experience with Power BI, DAX, Power Query, dimensional modeling, and SQL.
• Strong dashboard design, requirements gathering, and data storytelling skills.
• Experience with Power BI gateways, workspaces, security, deployment, refresh management, and performance optimization.
• Ability to validate and reconcile reporting results and clearly explain calculations, data sources, and results to business users.

Responsibilities

• Develop dashboards, semantic models, and reports for informed decision-making.
• Connect Power BI solutions to approved SQL databases, data warehouses, Microsoft Fabric, and Snowflake.
• Design data models, KPIs, and governance across analytics solutions.
• Validate calculations and data quality; ensure secure, auditable reporting outputs.
• Support deployment, monitoring, and production support of analytics solutions.
• Optimize performance and refresh processes across Power BI content.
