Job summary

SMX is seeking a Power BI developer to support a federal, multi-domain technology platform providing decision makers with authoritative enterprise data and analytics. The role emphasizes data modeling, KPIs, dashboards, and interactive visuals.

Qualified candidates will have a Secret clearance, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and 4+ years of Power BI plus 4 years in big data/cloud environments. An opportunity to contribute to secure mission-critical solutions is offered.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with Power BI
• 4 years of experience in big data and cloud environment
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Current, valid Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations
• Model data and create calculated columns, measures, and KPIs
• Manage workspaces, security, and data refresh schedules in Power BI Service
• Translate business needs into accessible, actionable insights through visualization
• Connect Power BI to databases, spreadsheets, APIs, and other data sources
• Publish and share reports, collaborate with stakeholders
• Draft requirements, designs, SOPs, and client documentation
• Troubleshoot incorrect totals, filters, relationships, and refresh failures
• Work in a team environment and communicate professionally with management and clients
