Job summary

PPG in Grand Haven, MI is seeking a Production Operator to manufacture powder coatings, operate and maintain production equipment, and ensure product quality and safety at every stage. The role requires ability to follow batch tickets and work with a team in a fast-paced environment.

You will rotate assignments, potentially operate forklifts, and document all activities. A high school diploma is preferred; forklift certification is helpful.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to operate industrial production equipment; math and mechanical skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; forklift certification may be required.
• Strong communication, problem solving and attention to detail with safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Preassembly: weigh raw materials per batch ticket and prepare materials for processing.
• Mixing/Extrusion: operate mixers and extruder, monitor parameters, log activity.
• Grinding/Milling: run milling equipment, package finished product and maintain equipment.
• Quality and safety: follow SOPs, maintain clean work area and safety gear compliance.
