Job summary

Engineered Cabs in Rochester, MN is hiring a powder coating operator to apply powder coatings and maintain associated equipment and work areas. You will ensure quality and productivity while preparing surfaces, loading parts, and following safety standards.

The role requires good communication in English, basic reading of technical specs, and completion of powder coating training. Prior manufacturing experience is helpful and physical requirements are noted in the job description.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; forklift training program.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.
• Must complete powder coating training and demonstrate good application technique.
• Ability to read prints and other specification documentation.

Responsibilities

• Apply powder coating using various powder application equipment as directed by supervisor.
• Adjust equipment to maintain required thickness of powder application.
• Prepare surfaces of parts for powder application by cleaning, sanding, masking, caulking, etc.
• Load and unload parts.
• Maintain and clean paint booth and powder application equipment.
• Maintain quality, safety and productivity.
• Report labor and job data accurately.
• Perform other duties within the department or plant as required by supervision.
