Job summary

Shively Diversified Management Services is seeking a dependable Production / Powder Coater for 1st shift. This role combines powder coating with utility tasks to keep production flowing, including quality checks, shipping/receiving, and light maintenance.

Temp-to-hire opportunity with benefits through SDMS during placement and full client benefits after hire. The ideal candidate will perform powder coating, material handling, and machine operation while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of powder coating is a plus.
• Experience with Okuma controls is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
• Basic shop math skills, including decimals and geometry.
• Forklift experience is preferred or willingness to become certified.

Responsibilities

• Powder coating.
• Operate Hem Saw to cut and stage raw material for production.
• Organize, label, paint, and store incoming raw material.
• Operate a forklift to load and unload trucks and move materials throughout the facility.
• Set up and operate drill and tap machines.
• Monitor coolant, oil, and waste barrels, replacing or refilling as needed.
• Operate the clip machine and perform quality checks on finished parts.
• Assist with shipping, receiving, laser etching, deburring, sandblasting, tumbling, and part assembly.
• Perform basic machine and building maintenance and seasonal outdoor maintenance.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
