Job summary

Global Power Components in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Powder Coater to prepare, coat, and finish fabricated steel and aluminum parts onsite. The role is temp-to-hire with two shifts available (5am–1:30pm or 4pm–12:30am) and OT eligibility.

You will set up and operate powder coating equipment, apply coatings to fuel tanks, enclosures, frames and assemblies, prepare surfaces, monitor thickness and finish, inspect output, and coordinate with production and quality teams to meet customer specs.

Qualifications

• Previous powder coating experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience coating steel or aluminum products.
• Ability to read work instructions and specifications.
• Pass competency assessment and pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate powder coating equipment for steel and aluminum components.
• Apply powder coatings to fabricated products including tanks and enclosures.
• Prepare surfaces for coating through cleaning and masking.
• Monitor coating thickness, coverage and finish quality per specifications.
• Inspect finished work and adjust process to maintain quality.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
• Coordinate with production and quality teams to meet schedules.
• Safely operate material handling equipment.
