Powder Coat Technician (Entry Level)

Located in: Newberg, OR

Pay: $20 per hour with increase to $21/hr after temp-to-hire

Schedule: Monday–Thursday; 6:00am – 4:30pm

Note: This is a temp-to-hire position.

Our client in Newberg is hiring an Entry Level Powder Coat Technician. No previous powder coating experience is required — the company provides hands‑on training to help you build valuable manufacturing skills. Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and mask components prior to powder coating
  • Spray powder coat finishes and operate curing ovens
  • Remove masking and complete finishing work on coated components
  • Read and interpret blueprints and production instructions
  • Inspect powder-coated parts to ensure quality standards are met
  • Identify and troubleshoot quality or production issues
  • Maintain accurate production documentation and records
  • Perform daily maintenance and cleaning of equipment
  • Organize work priorities to support efficient production flow
  • Work with team members to support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong work ethic
  • Basic shop math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division with decimals)
  • Ability to read and follow production instructions or blueprints
  • National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) is a plus but not required
