Are you a hard worker who loves to learn new skills and work with a great team? We are looking to fill seasonal morning and evening shift Powder Coat Positions as we gear up for a busy summer season in our Powder Coat department at Playworld in Lewisburg, PA.

Morning Shift: 5am-12pm
$19.00/hour mornings.

Responsibilities

• PULLING PARTS by determining parts to be gathered by reading relevant product reports.
• GATHER PARTS by pulling parts per materials list and checking quantities and warehouse locations.
• VERIFIES PARTS by looking at small green bar codes on parts or by using E-Docs.
• STAGE PARTS by placing them in neat, straight rows and labeling carts with proper color and dates of list.
• REPORTS MISSING PARTS by recording them on a missing parts report using S.O. number, color, part number, quantity and informing supervisor.
• PREPARES PARTS by hanging parts to be coated.
• HANG PARTS by using clean hooks and racks to provide a good ground, improving transfer efficiency; verifying that the small green bar code label corresponds with the requirement report and quantity.
• PREPARES PARTS TO BE HUNG by hanging parts on the line in such a manner that prevents them from falling off the line or filling internally with water.
• HANGS PARTS TIGHTLY by utilizing all available space and filling racks completely.
• INSPECTS PARTS by visually looking for part defects, sanding or scotch-brite any rough areas as needed; or any part that has been previously powder coated.
• PLUG PARTS by placing appropriate size plugs in any hole that is threaded or any hole that could let water in.
• SPRAY PARTS by applying powder to products with the correct amount of mileage.
• IDENTIFIES COLORS by looking at color tag in front of parts and bringing the correct color hopper to the spray booth from the powder storage room.
• SELECTS POWDER by using the oldest powder first in the powder storage area.
• VERIFIES READINGS by looking at gauges on the motor control center to make sure temperatures are correct before starting the line.
• CHECKS PARTS by scanning small green bar code labels so that parts get labeled correctly.
• LABELS PARTS by scanning small green bar codes through clear plastic bags, applying footing labels if required, and placing a 2" x 4" bar code on the outside of bag. Replace small green bar code if it comes off during the process.
• CONDUCTS FINAL CHECK by visually inspecting package to make sure it is acceptable.
• PACKS HARDWARE AND SMALL COMPONENTS by gathering and verifying shipments.
• PREPARES SHIPMENTS by reading relevant product reports, gathering, packing, protecting, and labeling.
• PACKS ITEMS by verifying identifying information, quantity, and condition of items; staging a protective packaging.
• MAINTAINS SHIPPING MATERIALS by checking stock to determine inventory level and anticipating needed materials.
• PREPARES PARTS by packing and labeling parts for the Shipping Department.
• PREPARES POWDER COATED ITEMS FOR SHIPMENT by inspecting the finish of the parts, removing the small green film that covers the bar code label on parts, and cleaning threaded holes and reworking parts if needed.
• PACKAGES POWDER COATED PARTS by placing parts in bags, boxes or bubble wrap.
• PLACES PARTS IN APPROPRIATE CART by placing them on table to go to Ship 1.
• INSPECTS PACKAGED PRODUCTS by inspecting packaging to ensure it is done properly and parts are labeled correctly.
• PLACES PARTS IN PROPER LOCATION by delivering any Ship1 cartons or truck items to the mezzanine area of the shipping department.
• SUPPLIES CARTS by bringing empty carts to the packing area.
• CONTRIBUTES TO TEAM EFFORT by accomplishing related results as needed, performing any additional duties as requested.
• PERFORM ANY ADDITIONAL DUTIES AS REQUESTED.
