Job Summary

This position will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment in a safe and efficient manner to achieve the quality and production standards of the company. Operators will make critical processing decisions, oversee the coating processes, and be responsible for disassembling and reconfiguring the process chamber for subsequent loads.

Essential Functions

  • Follow all safety procedures and practices as outlined on the safety placard.
  • Ensure adequate quantities of the necessary components are available for stock replenishment.
  • Meet all stated quality levels on fabricated products
  • Be able to titrate tanks and check and record PH daily.
  • Check air filter for air on the line.
  • Load or unload burn off oven. Log in book.
  • Go over schedule and get boxes and blanks ready and waiting to help keep the line full.
  • Make sure the system is turned on and there is powder in the hopper before parts get to the booth.
  • Check mill thickness and record on an hourly basis.
  • Record all re-paint quantities on the orders.
  • Figure out how to hand odd blanks or frames before it is time to hang them on the line.
  • Be able to make color changes in a timely manner.
  • Keep hooks in usable condition.
  • Use the pressure washer to clean hooks after taken from burn off oven.
  • Clean wash bay.
  • Check belts, motors, and grease all bearings.
  • Check spray nozzles in the washer to make sure the spray is good.
  • Clean out the sewer drain in wash bay.

Work Environment
  • Cement floor with anti‑fatigue mats provided
  • Clean working environment
  • Will work around moving mechanical parts
  • Not temperature controlled in hot months; must be able to work in heated conditions
  • Will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment at times
Physical Demands
  • Occasional walking, sitting, reach across midline, feeling, squatting, stooping, kneeling
  • Occasional fine manipulation
  • Occasional carrying 50–80 lbs; pushing/pulling 20–100 lbs
  • Frequent change of position, reaching, handling
  • Frequent arm/hand and leg/foot control; firm grasping
  • Constant standing
Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours are Monday–Friday; hours may vary depending on department and shift. Additional hours may be required to meet customer deadlines.
