Job summary

Meetapainter is seeking a senior operations leader for a powder coat facility. The role directs production activities, drives new projects, and leads cost-reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in powder coating, extensive management experience, and proven ability to lead cross-functional teams while ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 10 years’ experience in a Paint and/or Powder Coat environment with at least 5 years in management.
• Strong technical background in powder coating processes.
• Demonstrated skills in implementing Continuous Improvement initiatives, Lean Manufacturing and other quality and process improvement tools.
• Proactive self-starter who can lead with a strong ability to drive changes and continuous improvement.
• Customer orientated both internally and externally.
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and written.

Responsibilities

• Directs the overall production activities and drives new projects for the site.
• Provides leadership and guidance to promote world class operation processes and lean manufacturing.
• Interfaces with PM, Materials, and Sales to resolve issues and develop new business.
• Implements strategies for cost reduction, process improvement and on-time delivery.
• Maintains preventative maintenance programs for powder coat equipment.
• Assists with developing annual operating plans and manages budgets.
• Establishes and maintains key performance metrics for manufacturing performance.
• Manages day-to-day powder coat activities and program strategy for new products.
• Develops business case analyses for new programs including P&L and labor/material variances.
• Ensures compliance with health, safety, environmental laws and permits.
