Job summary

Poultry Partners, LLC is seeking a hands-on field poultry specialist to support daily flock care across our farm sites in Florida. You will visit pullet and layer flocks, record performance data, and work closely with producers to improve flock results.

Travel is light (up to 5 nights per year); expect to coordinate with the nutrition team and managers, ensure regulatory compliance, vaccine administration, and adherence to FDA, organic and humane standards while maintaining strong teamwork and

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Travel to multiple farm sites in the territory; up to 5 nights per year.
• Oversee care for pullet and layer flocks via daily visits and data review.
• Assist producers to optimize flock performance and diagnose issues.
• Perform and oversee vaccination of flocks.
• Coordinate flock movements with the business manager.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, organic and humane standards.
• Enforce bio-security protocols across operations.
• Communicate issues to nutrition team and business managers.
• Prepare documents for flock management and regulatory compliance.
• Interact with employees across the organization.
• Take on other duties related to servicing poultry flocks.

Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Travel: We do not expect this job to require more than 5 nights away per year, but daily travel to multiple farm sites in the given territory is expected
• You oversee producer’s care for both pullet and layer flocks through daily farm visits and documentation review
• You assist producers in obtaining optimal flock performance and diagnose issues related to poultry production
• You perform and oversee vaccination of flocks
• You assist business manager with coordinating flock movements
• You ensure that producers are following all required FDA, organic and humane standards
• You oversee that bio-security protocols are being followed
• You communicate any issues to our nutrition team and business managers
• You assist with document preparation for flock management and regulatory compliance
• You have frequent interaction with employees from all parts of the organization
• You may have other duties related to servicing poultry flocks to be assigned

Qualifications

• You have and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Desire to work with poultry on a daily basis
• Works well in a close team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• High sense of urgency when completing tasks
• Ability to manage customers and producer relationships
• Works well with minimal supervision once learning curve has been achieved.
• Ability to learn IT systems in order to manage flock data and performance (CRM, performance tracking tools, Word, Excel, etc.)
