Tyson Foods, Blairsville Hatchery in Blairsville, GA, seeks a production associate to process chickens, including grading, vaccinating, and toe trimming. The role operates robotics and infection-control equipment in a biosecure plant environment.

Requirements include at least 12 months of continuous work history with one employer, no major employment gaps, and adherence to safety and biosecurity guidelines. Pay starts at $17.00/hour with shift differentials for evenings, nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months.
• If applicant has been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months.
• Previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months.
• Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.
• Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods.
• Priority consideration will be provided to internal applicants first.
• Applicants must reside in the United States to be considered for an interview.

Responsibilities

• Process chickens including grade, vaccinate (operate robot), weigh chicks and perform toe trim. (70%)
• Operate box washer. (10%)
• Operate macerator. (10%)
• Operate a high pressure and regular water hose, maintain foot pans and hand sanitizers, make and cut vitamin gel, maintain a clean and organized work area. (10%)
