Physical requirements and work environment

Depending on the assignment, the position involves extended periods of standing or sitting, repetitive hand and arm movements, bending, reaching, and lifting materials weighing approximately 10–50 pounds. Employees work around raw poultry and production equipment. Conditions may include cold or hot temperatures, moisture, noise, and wet or slippery surfaces.

Required protective equipment may include:

• hairnets
• beard nets
• gloves
• cut-resistant gloves
• smocks
• aprons
• boots
• hearing protection

Dress Code

• Wear closed-toe, closed-heel footwear with slip-resistant soles.
• Follow plant restrictions on jewelry, watches, piercings, artificial nails, nail polish, and personal items including cell phones in production areas.
• No sleeveless shirts, shorts - clothes must be clean and cannot have holes.
• Jeans cannot be torn, ripped, or frayed.
• Hygiene standards must be upheld.
