Job summary

Aviagen is seeking an experienced Hatchery Supervisor to oversee daily hatchery operations, ensure production schedules and quality standards, and lead a safety-focused team. The role requires hands-on leadership, biosecurity adherence, and collaboration with multiple departments to optimize performance.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating labor, maintaining equipment, and reporting on KPIs while driving continuous improvement across the hatchery operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Poultry Science, Animal Science, Agriculture, Agribusiness, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and practical hatchery experience will be considered.
• Minimum of three (3) years of hatchery experience required.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of hatchery operations, poultry production, animal husbandry, and biosecurity principles.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily hatchery operations to meet production schedules and quality standards.
• Lead and coach hatchery employees; schedule work assignments and manage labor resources.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, safety, biosecurity, and environmental health requirements.
• Oversee equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Monitor KPIs, prepare operational reports, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with breeders, veterinary staff, QA, and maintenance for seamless production.
