Job summary

Simmons Animal Nutrition, Inc. is seeking a production teammate for the Debone line in a rotating schedule.

The role requires performing multiple Debone positions, such as cutting breasts and wings, pulling skin, and operating a saw, with an emphasis on teamwork and adherence to company operating systems and LEAN principles. Applicants should be prepared for a cold production environment, long standing shifts, and use of PPE.

Responsibilities

• To be fluent in all Debone production work on a rotation basis.
• Performs all positions on the line in Debone.
• Rotates positions as needed to include cutting breasts, wings; pulling skin; using a saw; loading product; tray packing and any other position in Debone.
• Participates as a member of the Team, developing and communicating team concepts, programs and policies; coordinates work to ensure best practices.
• Familiar with Simmons’ operating systems and policies, supports LEAN and quality objectives.
• Performs other duties as necessary to support business objectives.
• Work environment includes cold conditions (down to 40°F); stand 8–10 hours daily with required movements.
• Wears PPE: waterproof footwear, gloves, apron, hearing protection, hair nets, etc.
