Michael Foods, Inc. seeks a hands-on poultry husbandry worker in Wakefield, Nebraska. You will ensure proper temperature, lighting, feed, and water for flocks while keeping environments clean and compliant with GMPs. The role requires lifting, walking, and weekend/holiday coverage as needed.

The position emphasizes safe work practices and accurate daily record-keeping of temperatures, water, and maintenance, with travel to multiple locations and collaboration with supervision.

Qualifications

• No prior experience or training is required.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral form.
• Ability to lift 20 lbs. in each hand and carry it for at least 250 feet; able to be in various positions.

Responsibilities

• Operates 1-3 houses.
• Keep houses clean.
• Responsible for water, feed, and temperature in chicken houses.
• Maintain daily charts on water, temperatures and maintenance.
• Work with supervisor and maintenance.
• Travel to and work at multiple locations.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
