Job summary

SoBran, Inc. in Athens, GA, is seeking an Animal Caretaker II–Poultry to care for on-site animals with a 6:00 am to 2:30 pm shift, Monday through Friday, with weekends and holidays as scheduled. The role is essential and may require extra hours during emergencies.

Strong SOP adherence and animal handling experience are needed. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and about 2 years of experience. AALAS certification is desired.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of experience or equivalent.
• ALAAS certification desired (Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician).
• Must complete required training and clearance for Animal Caretaker II.

Responsibilities

• Provide food and water to animals per SOPs.
• Maintain animal census and records.
• Perform daily health surveillance checks.
• Prepare records, logs, and inventories as required by SOPs.
• Carry out cage washing and sanitation.
• Assist with receipt, stocking, and maintenance of supplies.
