Cheney Brothers in New York is seeking a purchaser to coordinate suppliers, negotiate terms, and establish long-term contracts ensuring in-stock supply for foodservice distribution at competitive prices.
You will manage vendor relationships, negotiate prices, and support special orders while contributing to cost controls and delivery performance. Candidates with 0–6 months related experience and a high school diploma are encouraged to apply; a bachelor's degree is preferred.

Coordinate and identify suppliers of product, negotiate price and quantity terms and establish long-term contracts to ensure adequate supply of high-quality products for Foodservice Distribution at competitive prices. Maintain established service levels for product in-stock. Assist with special order requests. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.
