Job summary

Hickman’s Family Farms seeks a Barn Laborer to maintain daily barn operations and bird well-being. You will follow GMPs, SOPs, UEP guidelines, and Salmonella-related requirements while performing essential duties with accuracy and speed.

Applicants should be prepared for physical work, capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, and committed to cleanliness. On-the-job training is provided, and a supportive team environment is offered at our Arizona facility.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Strong ability to follow GMP, SOP, and regulatory guidelines.
• Basic record-keeping for euthanasia records and water checks.

Responsibilities

• Shower daily in and out of the facility to maintain hygiene.
• Walk barn fronts and clean transfer fingers regularly.
• Check water levels and document with time and initials.
• Euthanize sick or injured birds with documentation.
• Pick up floor eggs twice per shift; ensure belts run smoothly.
• Inspect lights; replace bulbs as needed.
• Clean a minimum of 30 cages daily.
• Maintain barn cleanliness and monitor temperature; report issues.
