Job summary

Furmano Foods in Northumberland, PA seeks a dependable pouch filler operator for 1st shift (7:00 AM–3:00 PM). You will operate pouch filler lines 8 and 10, monitor temperature and controls, and ensure smooth line transfers in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

This full-time role includes daily documentation, shift-by-shift labor reallocation as needed, and participation in a team that emphasizes quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate the Pouch Filler lines 8 and 10.
• Will do periodic weighing of pouches.
• Must be able to monitor proper temperature and controls on filler and chiller.
• Must be able to monitor transfer functions.
• Must be able to change rolls of film and rethread machine as needed.
• Issue pouches to orders using assistics.
• Operate the efficiency system. (data entry)
• Maintain a positive teamwork atmosphere by acting, communicating and helping co-workers.
• When carts are filled the pouch filler operator is responsible for reassigning labor to loading area or other area as needed.
• Complete daily documentation accurately.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Must be able to operate the Pouch Filler lines 8 and 10.

Food safety is the responsibility of every employee. Any issues should be brought to the immediate attention of area supervisor or manager.

• Conscious minded of the quality of clean-up of machinery
• Capable of learning how to do minor jam-ups

Schedule

• 1st Shift: 7:00AM-3:00PM
• 8-hour shift, may need to work extended hours / Overtime based on needs of the business
• Weekend availability in season w/ specific mandatory Saturdays as needed.

Please Note

If hired you will need to train on 1st shift (7am-3pm) for up to 17 days with a trainer.

Salary

Up to $22.66 per hour
