TMS International is seeking a reliable Pot Carrier to join our Osceola, AR team. You will safely transport molten metal from furnaces to the casting area, supporting production schedules and upholding safety standards in a high-temperature environment.

The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team in a steel mill setting. Training and safety programs are provided to ensure a safe and efficient operation.

Qualifications

• Experience in steel mills/industrial environments is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of heavy equipment operation is preferred.
• Ability to work in high-temperature, noisy, and physically demanding environments.
• Strong commitment to safety and ability to follow safety protocols.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate pot carrier equipment to transport molten metal from furnaces to production areas.
• Ensure proper handling of pots to prevent spills or accidents.
• Coordinate with production and maintenance teams for smooth operations.
• Monitor equipment for malfunctions and report issues promptly.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Pot Carrier to join our team at our location in Osceola, AR. As a Pot Carrier, you will be responsible for safely transporting molten metal from the furnace to the casting area, ensuring the continuous flow of production. This position plays a critical role in maintaining production schedules and ensuring a safe work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate pot carrier equipment to safely transport molten metal from furnaces to various areas of the steel mill.
• Ensure proper handling and monitoring of pots to prevent spills or accidents.
• Work closely with the production team to ensure smooth and efficient transportation and delivery of molten metal to the casting and processing areas.
• Monitor equipment for any malfunctions, report issues immediately, and work with maintenance staff to ensure equipment is in optimal working condition.
• Follow strict safety procedures and guidelines to prevent injuries and ensure compliance with company safety protocols.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas to promote a safe and efficient environment.
• Assist with other duties in operations as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a steel mill, industrial manufacturing, or similar environment is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of heavy equipment operation is preferred.
• Ability to work in high-temperature, noisy, and physically demanding environments.
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all safety standards and protocols.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and handle equipment safely.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience operating pot carrier equipment or similar machinery.
• Previous training in safety procedures or certifications in OSHA or other safety programs is a plus.
