Baystate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Postpartum Unit at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. This per diem night position supports families through the postpartum transition, coordinating with obstetric and pediatric teams to ensure safe, compassionate care for mother and newborn.

The RN will assess maternal and newborn status, educate families on recovery and discharge, and administer medications as needed in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as RN in Massachusetts.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience required.
• Diploma in Nursing required; ASN/BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to postpartum patients after delivery.
• Monitor maternal and newborn status and escalate concerns.
• Support breastfeeding and newborn care.
• Educate families on postpartum recovery and discharge needs.
• Administer medications and treatments safely.
