Job summary

Magnera is seeking a Process Improvement Engineer/Specialist to drive operational excellence across U.S. and Canadian operations.

You will apply Lean, Six Sigma, AI-enabled analytics, and data-driven problem solving to uncover productivity, quality, cost and service opportunities and support deployment of the Magnera Operating System (MOS). Responsibilities include leading Kaizen events and DMAIC projects, mapping current and future processes, applying 5S, standard work and visual management,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience; nonwovens, paper, or film manufacturing preferred.
  • Experience applying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt preferred; Black Belt a plus and will be expected to achieve in role)
  • Proficiency in process mapping, root cause analysis, SPC, and data analytics.
  • Experience with Power BI, AI-enabled analytics, and/or digital tools preferred.
  • Strong project management, communication
  • Up to 50% travel requirement

Responsibilities

  • Monitor KPIs and validate improvements through data analysis and SPC.
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and EHS teams to implement sustainable improvements.
  • Support project pipeline development, project chartering, and benefit tracking.
  • Support implementation and continuous improvement of the Magnera Operating System (MOS)

JOB SUMMARY:

The Process Improvement Engineer/Specialist drives operational excellence by identifying and implementing opportunities to improve productivity, quality, cost, and service. Using Lean, Six Sigma, AI-enabled analytics, and data-driven problem solving, this role leads continuous improvement initiatives and supports deployment of the Magnera Operating System (MOS) across U.S. and Canadian operations.
