Amerit Fleet Solutions in Stone Mountain, GA is hiring a Lead Trailer Technician/Mechanic to join our fleet maintenance team. The role focuses on class 7-8 trailer maintenance, repairs, and safety inspections with a Monday–Friday shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Compensation ranges from $35.00 to $45.00 per hour, with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits. This position offers medical/dental/vision benefits within 30 days, 401(k) match, paid time off, boot allowance and safety gear reimbursement,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience performing class 7-8 trailer maintenance and repairs.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
• Ability to pass background check, pre-employment drug screen, and DOT physical if required.

Compensation: $35-$45 per hour, DOE! Competitive Hourly Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday!

Working Conditions

This role involves working in a mobile, outside and/or shop environment with exposure to dust, diesel fumes, noise, and mechanical materials such as oils and greases. Technicians must be able to perform essential job functions that include frequent movement such as standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods, as well as lifting heavy objects and accessing tight or confined spaces. This position requires regular use of hands to grasp, reach, handle, and operate tools and equipment. Technicians may be required to work at heights using ladders or elevated platforms and must be able to safely perform duties in various weather conditions. Due to the active work environment and movement of large vehicles, the ability to see and hear sufficiently to safely navigate the workspace is required.
