Job summary

Dormont Manufacturing Co is looking for a PostgreSQL Database Developer in Boston, Massachusetts. The role supports a Data Analytics platform in migrating from Oracle to Postgres, ensuring database performance and scalability.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years of PostgreSQL administrative experience. The position offers comprehensive benefits including health, dental, 401k, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 7 years of experience with administrating PostgreSQL databases in Linux environments.
• Experience migrating Oracle schema, packages, views, and triggers to Postgres using Ora2Pg tool.
• Experience with implementing and maintaining PostgreSQL backup and disaster recovery processes.

Responsibilities

• Drive efforts to migrate from the current Oracle database to the new Microsoft Azure Postgres database.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Collaborate with internal and external parties to transform technical objectives into requirements.
• Ensure the availability and performance of the databases.
• Proactively monitor the database systems.
• Work within a structured and Agile development approach.
