Qualifications

• PhD in Plant Breeding, Horticulture, Plant Pathology, Entomology or Agronomy.
• Strong organizational and report-writing skills.
• Proficiency with statistical analysis and data management.
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with open-pollinated vegetable crops genetics.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage research trials for SCRI and related projects.
• Coordinate administrative functions and reporting for funded projects.
• Serve as liaison with university offices and partner agencies.
• Organize quarterly meetings and annual in-person workshops.
• Provide grant project support and track milestones.
• Develop workflows, timelines, and procedures to improve outputs.
• Analyze multi-environment trial data with statistical software.
• Mentor graduate students and assist in grant applications.
• Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals.
• Travel as needed for meetings and fieldwork.
