Responsibilities

• Pursues research under supervision of a Principal Investigator and develops independence.

• Prepares and publishes scientific manuscripts under PI direction.
• Develops lab skills, informatics, and domain expertise; gains proficiency with lab tools.
• Engages in collaborations, attends and leads scientific seminars, and mentors students where appropriate.
• Pursues or secures independent funding near the end of the fellowship.
