Cedars-Sinai is seeking a Postdoctoral Scientist to join the Center for Autonomous Robotic Surgery. The candidate will work independently under the PI and collaborate with researchers in surgical robotics, computer vision, and machine learning to advance autonomous robotic tasks.

Qualifications

• PhD or MD/PhD in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related field.
• Proven track record of robotics, computer vision and/or machine learning publications (first-author preferred).
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Highly motivated and able to work independently on research projects.
• Experience with experimental protocols, data collection and analysis; maintenance of equipment and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Designs and performs experiments; maintains records and analyzes results with the PI.
• Contributes to grant proposals and may assist in publications and presentations.
• Develops, adapts, and implements new research techniques and protocols.
• Analyzes, summarizes and compiles data; operates and maintains equipment.
• Plays a pivotal role in data analytics and development of ML models for robotic surgery tasks.
