Job summary

The University of South Florida is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join a translational program studying inflammation-driven pathophysiology across lung, brain, and circulatory systems. You will perform imaging, histopathology, -omics analysis, and cellular assays on organ samples.

Responsibilities include assisting the PI with project design, data collection/analysis, manuscript/grant preparation, and presenting research findings at conferences and seminars.

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree from an accredited institution and appropriate experience within a selected area of specialization.
  • Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Postdoctoral Fellow.
  • Knowledge in human organ anatomy and physiology and laboratory experience are preferred.

Job Description

The postdoctoral researcher will participate in a translational research program studying inflammation-induced pathophysiological responses in the lung, brain, and circulatory system, with the goal to identify novel diagnostic and therapeutic targets for inflammatory diseases. The researcher will conduct experiments in organ and tissue samples using microscopic imaging techniques, histopathology, -omics analysis, and cellular and molecular assays. Other responsibilities include assisting the principal investigator in project design, data collection and analysis, preparation of manuscripts and grants, and presentation of research data in scientific conferences and seminars.

This position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship.

Qualifications

Doctoral degree from an accredited institution and appropriate experience and training within a selected area of specialization. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Postdoctoral Fellow.

Knowledge in human organ anatomy and physiology and laboratory experience are preferred.
