Job summary

Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA seeks a Post-Doctoral Scholar to work on an NIH R01 funded project, Rh Direct Measurement of RhD Sensitization Following Bleeding in Pregnancy at Less than 12 Weeks Gestation. The final candidate will join the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and contribute to data collection and analysis across seven recruitment sites.

The appointment is a term position; continuation will depend on university need, performance and funding.

Qualifications

• PhD in Public Health or related discipline by appointment start date.
• Proof of ABD status by time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Make assessments/decisions to ensure research protocol timelines are met.
• Central Contact for the study participants
• Management for day to day operations and coordination of study visits at each of the seven recruitment site locations.
• Phlebotomy, coding and processing of samples
• Assistance with participant surveys
• Regulatory and Study Progress reporting
• Supervision of data entry and resolution of queries
• Emphasis on publishing and external funding and gaining independence
