JOB DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS:

The Department of Electrical Engineering at Penn State, in collaboration with CEARL, is seeking one or more highly qualified Postdoctoral Scholars. You must be a U.S. citizen to apply.

The successful candidate will assist in theory and design for high-profile research projects in computational electromagnetics and antennas. CEARL is renowned for contributions in electromagnetics, metamaterials, and optics. Research areas include transmit- and reflect-arrays, metamaterial lenses, electronically scanned arrays, reconfigurable antennas, and phase-gradient metasurfaces.

Requirements: Ph.D. in electrical engineering or related field, experience in electromagnetic theory and simulation, metamaterial and metasurface design for RF applications, high-power microwave antenna design, and experience with antenna fabrication, testing, and measurements. Experience with inverse design and optimization is a plus.

Responsibilities: Design and simulation of antennas, metamaterials, and metasurfaces. Collaborate with graduate students and post-docs on research reports and proposals. Present research at conferences and publish findings.
