Job summary

UF/IFAS invites applications for a postdoctoral research associate position at the Mid Florida Research and Education Center near Orlando to pursue weed biology and management in ornamental crops. The appointment is initially 18 months with potential extension. Responsibilities include planning and conducting controlled environment experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and coordinating undergraduate researchers.

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in a relevant plant science field.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in weed science, horticulture, or related plant science field.
• Commitment to UF core values and the Land-Grant mission.
• Experience and ability in experimental design and data analysis desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and conduct controlled environment experiments on weed physiology and production practices.
• Collect, manage, analyze data, and publish results in relation to relevant literature.
• Coordinate undergraduate students and interns assisting in research projects.
